MSc Student

I am currently completing my MSc internship in the Milicic Group at the Jenner Institute, where my project focuses on characterising the spatiotemporal dynamics of neutrophils in response to a potent vaccine adjuvant. I am supervised by Professor Anita Milicic and DPhil student Lee Sims.

I am undertaking this internship as part of the Erasmus Mundus LIVE Master’s in Vaccinology, a four-semester programme delivered across Barcelona, Antwerp, and Lyon. I am grateful to have received the Lyon Graduate+ SFRI scholarship, which supports this six-month placement.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Medical and Health Sciences at University College Cork (UCC). In 2023, I undertook a summer internship in Professor Anne Moore’s lab, where I worked on vaccine delivery technologies, specifically dissolvable microneedle patches for skin immunisation. For my undergraduate thesis, I developed a phagocytosis assay to assess the Fc effector function of vaccine-induced antigen-specific IgG in a pig model.
