I'm a DPhil student in Clinical Medicine at the University of Oxford, jointly supported by a Clarendon, St. Cross College, and Medical Sciences Division scholarship. My supervisors are Anita Milicic, Romain Guyon, and Eleanor Stride, and I split my time between the Jenner Institute and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
My doctoral research aims to understand vaccine-induced humoral immunity by dissecting the B cell response to various immunization strategies. This includes characterizing a new microcapsule technology for sustained vaccine release and evaluating how early innate activation influences the downstream B cell response to different vaccine adjuvants and routes.
Prior to Oxford, I earned a BSc and MSc in Bioengineering from the University of Louisville, where I researched nanoparticle efficacy against cancers and developed in vitro tumor spheroid models. I then completed an MSc in Epidemiology at Imperial College London as a Fulbright Scholar, investigating HIV viral load monitoring discrepancies in South Africa. Before my DPhil, I supported global health technology programs at USAID and worked on biomaterials research at the U.S. National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow.
