Gundra attended the third annual symposium for her DPhil program, Advanced Bioscience of Viral Products (ABViP), held at University College London. The event brought together 24 PhD students from UCL and the University of Oxford, all working on interdisciplinary projects focused on viral vectors for vaccines and gene therapies.
At the symposium, Gundra presented her research on viral vector-induced innate immunity and pathways to effective T cell responses. Her work, particularly the in vitro inflammasome assay, sparked interest and led to engaging discussions with both students and senior researchers.
The symposium was also attended by representatives from Oxford Biomedica and UKRI BBSRC, who fund the ABViP program, offering opportunities for networking and feedback.
