Our research focuses on designing successful vaccines through a better understanding of how they activate the immune system. Through modulating vaccine composition, formulation, and mode of delivery, we study the interaction between the innate and adaptive arms of the mamalian immune system.

Vaccine Encapsulation for Delayed Release

We have developed a novel microfluidics-based technology for encapsulating vaccines into injectable microcapsules. Comprising a liquid core and a solid shell made of biodegradeable PLGA polymer, microcapsules offer delayed vaccine release within the body, delivering prime-boost immunisation with a single injection.​
